O’Gallagher recommends keeping your macros balanced, and he does require that you eat natural whole foods like animal protein and veggies. He also includes fruits for snacking. Of course, junk food and pretty much anything that comes in a box should be avoided. But, this doesn’t mean that you won’t be eating delicious meals.
For example, O’Gallagher says that when he goes out to eat he will double up on his protein by ordering a burger without the bun and asking for two patties. He then tops the patties with bacon and cheese. Another one of his favorites is at Chipotle, where he orders triple meat with rice, beans, veggies, and lots of cheese.
When you feel extremely satisfied and filled up while dropping fat, life is pretty damn good! If you’re trying to go too low in calories and eating just two modest meals per day, you’ll be in too big of a calorie deficit, and your fasts will be pretty brutal. So don’t be scared of eating more than what seems reasonable, you have my whole-hearted permission.
Aggressive Fat Loss Workout Overview
When you're on an aggressive cutting diet, the primary intent of your training sessions is to maintain your lean muscle.
In other words, the fat loss portion is handled by intermittently fasting and utilizing an aggressive caloric deficit through your nutrition.
If you follow these principles, you should be able to successfully drop a considerable amount of pure fat after a few months. If we were considering 30 lbs lost, this wouldn't be 20 lbs of fat and 10 lbs of muscle. This would be closer to 30 lbs of pure fat lost.
That being said, there is also weight training two times a week so you will build muscle. These routines are short, high-intensity workouts with a few sets of heavy compound lifts and limited cardio.
This scientific formula of intermittent fasting, caloric deficit, balanced macros, and strategic strength training is what leads to maximum results.
Also, the workouts use a training protocol called reverse pyramid training where you start each exercise with the heaviest amount of weight at the lowest rep range. With each set, you decrease the weight and add more reps to the set.

The Aggressive Fat Loss Program 2.0 is effective, but it’s not easy, just easier. You will have to track your calories and macros, fast, and hit the gym two times per week. Switching to intermittent fasting will be challenging at first, but O’Gallagher does give you tips for making the change. If you can get past that first week, it will continue to get easier.
You might find it inconvenient to track your calories and macros, but apps like MyFitnessPal make it much easier to do those things. And, you will learn a lot about the food you are putting into your body.
