It seems like every online review for weightlifting belts follows a trend — “This belt is good, but it’s nothing like my Inzer!”
Now, this can be for one of two reasons.
1. Inzer has a pretty dedicated publicist looking to divert sales from other companies (unlikely).
Or….
2. This belt is the real deal (much more likely & ethical).
So what is it about this belt that makes Inzer customers so adamant that it’s the end-all-be-all? Let’s see if we can figure that one out.

About the Company – Inzer Advance Designs
The company we know as Inzer is formally known as “Inzer Advance Designs,” or IAD.
We’re gonna be honest here.
Despite the incredible reputation Inzer gets among powerlifters of all skill levels, we don’t know much about the history of the company.
Still with us?
Okay, so here’s what we do know about Inzer!
Many consider Inzer to be the #1 name in powerlifting on a global scale. It’s known for only pushing out products that are tested and proven to be as close to “perfect” as possible.
And the Inzer product line is growing every year.
In terms of powerlifting belts, Inzer has seven available — lever & buckles, 10mm & 13mm, and even ratchet and tapered belts to finish out the lot.
This Inzer website is essentially a haven for any powerlifter in the world. You can fill your gym bag with an Inzer belt, wraps, sleeves, a singlet, and even Inzer apparel.
It’s a one-stop-shop in every sense of the term!
What is the Inzer Advance Designs Forever Lever Belt?
This Inzer Advance Designs Forever Lever Belt comes in two different thicknesses: 10mm & 13mm. But for the most part, both styles offer the same promises.
Here’s what Inzer describes as the benefits of this belt.
- Anti-slip interior
- Easy to tighten and loosen
- Made of genuine rigid leather
- Tightens more than a buckle belt
- Anti-corrosive metal
Now, based on the idea that Inzer is a powerlifting company, the qualities of this belt, and the fact that “Forever” is literally in the name of the belt, here’s what we can tell.
Inzer designed this belt to last a long time, possibly forever…. It’ll stay put once it’s latched shut, it’s far superior to buckle belts, and it can support massive loads on the deadlift and squat.
But does it live up to these expectations?

Belt Details & Features
We must admit: The Inzer Advance Designs Forever Lever Belt looks excellent on paper. Based on what we’ve seen so far, it seems to be the real deal.
But “on paper” doesn’t matter when you’re attempting a 400-pound deadlift with this belt.
So here’s what you need to know about this “beast” of a belt.
The Leather
Using the words “genuine leather” to describe a powerlifting belt is always hit or miss.
That’s because half of those belts end up being layers of cardboard or faux leather glued together with a thin layer of leather slapped on top.
That’s not the case with this belt.
This belt is made of thick genuine leather that gives “resilient” a brand new look.
The leather of this belt is so rigid that, 1) It’ll take a little bit of effort to wrap it around your waist the first time and, 2) You’ll probably leave your first few workouts with bruised hips and ribs.
But that simply comes with the territory when you’re in the powerlifting sphere and want a belt that can handle PRs as they come.
Rest assured, this belt won’t bend when you need it most.
The patented Reinforced Leather on the inside will also help the belt remember your physique. So the belt will get even more comfortable with time and feel like it was designed for your body.
At 10mm or 13mm thick, you do have a choice to make.
The 10mm option is your best bet if you’re looking for a belt that’s easy to break-in, supports all types of lifts, and doesn’t get in the way due to the excess thickness.
And for 13mm, that’s best left for the pros.
The Suede & the Lever
Now that we’ve got the important part out of the way, it’s time to talk about the other moving pieces that make this belt a powerhouse.
First, we have the interior.
The interior of this belt is actually a thin layer of suede. Not only is suede softer against the skin (especially if you wear your belt under your shirt), but it’s also non-slip.
So you can wear this belt through a two-hour session and not have to worry about the belt sliding up or twisting around. This feature makes the belt comfortable and safer!
Now, let’s talk about the reason you’re here: The lever.
The lever of this Inzer belt is what many serious powerlifters love most about it.
It clamps shut without so much as a little pressure on the lever. So the days of fumbling around with a buckle and never getting the right fit are officially over!
And more importantly, it’ll stay latched shut until you flick the lever back open.
That can give you a little peace of mind — you don’t have to worry about the belt unhooking and leaving you unsupported in the middle of a heavy deadlift.
That’s every lifter’s biggest fear, and now it’s a fear that won’t ever cross your mind again!
The Size & Color Options
The lever belt design adds a little convenience to nabbing the perfect fit.
It tightens 3” more than buckle belts, so don’t worry about gaining or losing a few pounds as you’re cutting or bulking. There’s no need to buy a new belt every time your physique changes!
Spend the money you save on something else (like the electric bill or something).
Inzer has nine sizes available for this belt. Remember, the number is in inches and is the circumference around your belly button, not your pants size.
Not. Your. Pants. Size
Here’s a look at the sizes you can buy.
- XS: 22-25”
- S: 26-29”
- M: 30-33”
- L: 34-38”
- XL: 39-42”
- XXL: 43-46”
- 3XL: 47-50”
- 4XL: 51-54”
- 5XL: 55-58”
It’s worth pointing out that you’re not forced to settle for a black powerlifting belt. You can choose the fuchsia or red/white/blue versions to hit the gym with style and be that guy at the gym.
Why blend in when you can stand out?
Other Things Worth Mentioning
Yep, there’s more.
As if the suede, leather, and lever weren’t enough to write home about, we also want to mention a few other things.
- Several rows of nylon stitching are resistant to corrosion.
- This belt is so sturdy that it should add weight to your compound lifts on day one.
- It’s designed to last FOREVER!
- This belt is made in the USA (we believe Inzer is based out of Texas, if that matters).
- It’s legal for powerlifting competitions.
- The non-rounded edges get you the most out of the 4” width.
And with that, we’ve mentioned just about everything you need to know about this belt.
Still looks good on paper, right?
Well, stick around as we go over the pros and cons to see if this belt really lives up to the expectations built around it.
3 Cool Benefits of the Inzer Advance Designs Forever Lever Belt
1. It Fits the Way It Should
If you know anything about prong buckle belts, you know how hard they are to size.
One notch in the belt is loose enough to spin the belt around your waist. But when you choose the next notch over, it’s like you’re suffocating yourself at the waist.
Lever belts are ideal since the holes are much closer together.
The greatest feature of this belt’s sizing is that there’s room in either direction. So you can reasonably gain and lose some weight without having to buy a new belt right off the bat.
Unless you’re adding 5” or more around your waist, then this belt should last forever.
2. It Lasts Forever
It’s not unusual to buy a new powerlifting belt every six months, especially because many manufacturers cut corners by choosing cheap material.
You want a belt that’ll last you for years without giving way or loosening too much.
That’s why this Inzer belt stands out among the rest.
There are very few reported instances of this belt letting users down. In fact, some have had their Inzer belt for years now without any sign of stopping!
Another thing to keep in mind is that Inzer offers a lifetime warranty on the lever portion of this belt. That means you can open your wallet and bite the bullet without risking your money.
3. It’s Durable
Just about every design feature of this Inzer belt is exactly why you should take the plunge.
The lever is made of heavy-duty metal that’s so durable that some novices get stuck in the belt. And the leather is 100% genuine and is as flexible as a bodybuilder in a gymnastics class.
Even the stitching is reinforced to keep sweat and other elements from wearing away at the integrity of this belt.
Seriously, this belt can handle it all.
You can count on this belt to support your deadlifts of 500+ or more down the road and never worry about the belt ripping or bursting at the seams.
It’s the real deal and definitely worth the money.
2 Negatives of this Lever Belt
1. It Can Be a Bit Painful
The thick, rigid leather of this belt does wonders for your training sessions when you’re looking to push your body to its limits.
Unfortunately, that thick leather may also dig into your hips and ribs with each rep.
The result is bruising on your sides…and lots of it.
Though many have noted that the bruising slows down after a few weeks of using the belt, you may have to take it easy at the gym as your body gets used to it.
That’s kind of a bummer considering you’re looking to go forward, not backward.
But it should only be a few weeks.
2. You Might Get Stuck In the Belt
This one is a little funny if you’re not the one experiencing it.
It seems that the lever of this belt can be a little too secure in some cases. That’s right — some guys have actually gotten stuck in this belt.
The thick leather also makes it hard to bend the leather to loosen the lever (aka, it’s a recipe for disaster if you don’t know what you’re doing).
Now, this is more likely to occur during your first few sessions as you break the belt in. And if you can wiggle your way out of it, you’ll figure out how to avoid that experience again.
But if you can’t….
Let’s just say that a few people have had to break the lever completely or cut the belt off to free themselves from the belt.
